JOB SUMMARY

The Sales Manager at Hampden is responsible for overseeing the sales team, the operations and distribution team, and the visuals of the floor. They are present on the sales floor most of the day to ensure the sales and visuals are being executed to the Hampden standard. The Sales Manager must be able to communicate across all departments. They must be creative and have a passion for driving sales through the client experience.


ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Holds stylists accountable for actions
  • Hold stylists accountable for sales goals - come up with sales goals and see what's achievable, play active role in helping them achieve their goal through leadership
  • Manage approval return deadlines, use quantum view
  • Create sales staff schedule and communicate with ops manager for entry
  • Monthly one-on-one meetings with stylists
  • Confirm approvals are charged timely
  • Assist with approval boxes and ensure the stylists and PS's are tracking approvals
  • Communicates sales goal achievements from stylists to HR for bonuses
  • Manage the sales portion of pop ups and work with ops manager on logistics
  • Walk the floor constantly to ensure everything and everyone is supported
  • Communicate with the buying team on any needs of the store
  • Communicate with Stacy on anything going on in the store
  • Review top client lists and analyze list for each designer trunk show
  • Overall grasp of daily flow of inventory and general view of what should be taken care of at the store - ownership of workings of store
  • Get to know top clients
  • Not afraid of conflict and holding people accountable according to roles and responsibilities we create
  • Isn't scared to work hard and get hands dirty, master of efficiency
  • Lead all morning meeting
  • Holds team accountable for arriving on time
  • Manage allotments

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Sales Manager must be able to lead a team. They must be able to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, sit, and walk. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds. Most of the position will require constant movement and at times standing for long periods of time, but the whole team has a hands-on approach.
